The psychological contract is thought provoking, for decades the employment bargain was relatively understandable.

Give an organisation your skills, time and commitment and in return you receive salary, development, experience, progression and in most cases a form of security.

To some degree, AI may fundamentally alter that bargain! If an employee helps train, implement and improve technology that ultimately eliminates a significant part of their own role, what responsibility does the employer have in return?

None! Retraining, No! Redeployment? No! A share of the productivity benefit? No again. OK Greater transparency? No!

There isn't yet an accepted answer, but there needs to be a conversation, responsible AI isn't only about what the algorithm does, Its also about what organisations do with the consequences.

Told you this was thought provoking, what are your views?
